The focus will be to introduce cross country ski technique in both skate and classic ski disciplines, embrace the life-long winter sport of Nordic skiing and to discover the joy of being outside in the winter on Nordic skis.  Skiers will be encouraged to participate in weekly ME Jr. Ski League races held in Southern Maine to help them develop a strong sense of camaraderie, a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and introduce athletes to cross country ski racing at the MS Level.  The goal is to empower skiers, some who?ve who have never been on skis, to fully enjoy the sport for many years to come in a traditional Maine outdoor winter sport.
Additionally, skiers are encouraged to join the Agamenticus Ski Club.   Agamenticus Ski Club (ASC) is a new regional ski club which will be offering additional ski coaching, ski programming, clinics, events and trips for local skiers.  Please see the Agamenticus Ski Club website at: for more information about membership.  A list of club programs will be posted in December 2012.
