Circus Atlantic and NYA partner to offer weekly circus arts camps for 6-12 year old students. Whether this is a child's first exposure to the circus basics or whether they are ready to delve deeper into specific skills and work on character development, professional circus artists are ready to help all students jump in the ring. Aerials, acrobatics, juggling, unicycling, pyramids and performance techniques are just some of the skills campers will have the opportunity to develop. Your kids will make astounding progress in a matter of days although we do recommend two back-to-back weeks, if at all possible, to give students a deeper immersion in circus arts training. Students will be divided into smaller groups based on prior experience and ability. Instructors will meet each individual at their own level, whether beginning, intermediate or advanced. Each student will have individualized attention and be coached according to their ability. More advanced students will be given appropriate instruction and may also schedule private classes throughout the summer. All children, especially the younger ones, will be given plenty of outdoor time and other activity to balance the physicality of circus training. Each session ends with an exhibition on NYA’s campus that will be open to students’ family and friends. The NYA-Circus Atlantic camp offers ideal physical conditioning for kids of all ages and is useful for dancers, gymnasts and athletes, while also developing dramatic style and showmanship. This is an exciting, fun, and high-energy camp with an emphasis on clowning around like you mean it! To learn more about Circus Atlantic visit CircusAtlantic.com.
