What's Included

Target Audience: New-to-Robotics elementary & middle school educators or LEGO team coaches. LEGO Robotics for Educators focuses on two main domains: LEGO Mindstorms EV3 programming and STEM education topics. The LEGO Mindstorms EV3 component involves hands on practice of using the different sensors to program a robot. The STEM education component includes a review of STEM standards, the engineering design process, and discussions of possible classroom scenarios related to robotics challenges. Educators will be working in small teams alongside middle school students.

About This Organizer

Each year over 1500 elementary, middle, and high school students attend enrichment programs or sports camps on our Worcester, MA campus.  Whether it’s diving into engineering, robotics, or mathematics—or sharpening sports skills—younger students can gain an edge in the classroom, on the playing field, and in life. These acclaimed programs, conducted by WPI’s diverse faculty and staff, reflect our commitment to meeting real-world challenges by imparting leadership and teamwork skills.
