Brief Description

An All Mountain Challenge designed to accommodate and challenge skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Utilizing GPS technology, the Challenge will take skiers all over the mountain through a series of checkpoints with a few bonus challenges mixed in. All participants must agree to raise a minimum amount of pledges to benefit Disabled Sports USA Far West.

Pledge Requirements

Each adult participant must raise a minimum of $200 Each youth and Adaptive Athlete must raise a minimum of $100

Fund Raising Requirement

Each individual or team member must raise at least $200 in donations ($100 for those under 18 and people with disabilities). All participating teams, team members and individuals will be able to create their own fundraising page.

Team Captains

Team Members

Please click on the green "Register Now" button to register. On the registration form, select your Team name from the drop down list of teams and continue with your registration. If you do NOT see your teams name in the drop down list please contact your team captain.

Individuals

Directions

From I-80 take exit #185, Truckee, CA-89. Follow CA-89 south for approximately 9.8 miles to Alpine Meadows Rd. Turn right onto Alpine Meadows Rd. Follow Alpine Meadows Rd about 3 miles to Chalet Rd. Go left on Chalet rd and make the first right into the lower (Subway) parking lot. Registration will be at the Disabled Sports USA Far West Program Center.

Lunch

All Participants that meet the minimum pledge amount will receive a voucher for $15 redeemable at the Main Lodge or Chalet for a lunch of their choice.

Lift Tickets

All Participants that meet the minimum pledge amount will be issued a lift ticket on the day of the event, good for the day of the event only.

Awards

An awards ceremony will be conducted at the end of the event on each day (Friday and Saturday). Awards will be given for top fundraisers in each division, top times and finishes in each division, and costumes in each division.

Additional Information

The Ability Challenge has evolved from a corporate challenge giant slalom race to become what it is today. The new event is designed to include anyone with a love for skiing, a love for someone with a disability, or a love for simply making the world a better place. The Ability Challenge will be conducted on two days. Participants should pick the day that suits their schedule best. Three levels of difficulty from Beginner to Expert.
