American Red Cross Program designed to teach the participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries. A pre-course test of swimming 300 yards and brick retrieval is included at the beginning of the course. Classes are held at the Winona State University Memorial Pool.
