Rosstoberfest Run is a fun, family-friendly event that takes place in the historic College Hill neighborhood of Wichita. The event is a fundraiser for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy in honor of Ross McFarland, a 18-yr old with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. All finishers (and their support) can attend the Oktoberfest-like after-party, where there is beer, bratwurst and drawings for really cool prizes. Registrants receive a technical t-shirt, a bag o'; goodies, and free refreshments at the after-party. This has become one of the best loved 5K events in Wicita racing.
Event schedule and times
Same-day registration and online packet pick-up begins at 8:00. The 5K event starts at 9:30, while the Kids for Ross 1 mile event starts at 10:30. Results are posted as soon as possible and the awards ceremony begins as soon as the 1 Mile race is completed. The after-party lasts as long as the refreshments do!
