Day One focuses on you. You will gain... -Cutting edge knowledge about psychological trauma and chronic stress and their impact on personal physical and emotional health -Powerful insights about how this traumatic and chronic stress occurs and accumulates uniquely in the 911 Center. -Personal skills and tools to reduce the health risks associated with stress disorders. -"In-the-moment" strategies to manage your distress during the most psychologically demanding calls and to calm down the caller. -A fresh and more encouraging vision of your profession, yourself as a person and professional, and of how to live and better enjoy your daily life. Day Two focuses on 911 relationships. You will learn to... -Identify the key elements of healthy team functioning to contribute to creating a Culture of Respect. -Understand and be provided with the choice to accept personal ownership of responsibility as a Comm Center member. -Gain increased awareness of workplace conflict triggers. -Gain understanding of toxic relationship dynamics that activate these workplace triggers. -Understand how to implement compassionate and respectful peer support in a traumatic workplace.
