Fire Craft is, by far, our most exciting skill to teach. Fire is more than just a way to cook food, boil water, and provide warmth. In the wilderness Fire becomes our friend when we are alone and protector when we can't see what is lurking in the dark. In this one-day class we will cover the Fire Craft segment of our Essentials Class. We will teach you the basics of building a fire and how to start a fire using the primitive bow-drill. If you are not able to attend a full Essentials class, then the one-day classes may be ideal for you. This class is one of the four core skills required that allows you to participate in future events. Our Water class is included in each of the Shelter, Fire Craft, and Food classes. Once all of the segments have been completed you will receive a certificate for the Essentials Course. You will learn the primitive methods for obtaining shelter, water, fire and food in a wilderness environment. This class starts around 8:00 am and finishes around 4:00 pm. Lunch will be provided Further details will be provided once you have chosen your class.
