The Eisenbahn Trail is a 25-mile trail extending from the historic city of West Bend into the scenic countryside of eastern Wisconsin past the glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. This is an out and back course run completely on the Eisbenbahn Trail.
The Eisenbahn, a German Word for railroad, is built on a former railroad corridor. A mostly flat route, the course is USATF Certified. Runners will begin and end the race on 1.5 miles of paved asphalt with the remainder of the event run on crushed limestone. The course and trail are open and runners should follow the rules of an open course.Packet Pick up will be from 2:00pm -6:00pm on Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Kettle Moraine YMCA at River Shores located at 705 Village Green Way West Bend WI. The start lines for these events will be BEHIND the River Shores Kettle Moraine YMCA, 705 Village Green Way in West Bend--an easy walk from where you will park your car. Plenty of water/aid stations and Porta Potties will be available along the course. The Finish Line will be located near the YMCA River Shores. Participants can shower and change at the YMCA River Shores and then join their families to enjoy all that West Bend has to offer!Registrations are non-refundable. Finisher medals will be provided along with a technical t-shirt and other goodies.
