Brief Description

Join us for an exciting five-mile (kayakers), three-mile (SUP) ocean paddle, from the Jacksonville Beach Pier northward toward Atlantic Beach and return. Not for amateurs, this race requires breaking waves, battling weather-related elements and challenging the mighty Atlantic Ocean while spectators cheer you on. The Kayaking/SUP Competition is just part of the Florida Surfing Championships, held October 4-7, 2012 at the Pier, Jacksonville Beach.

Fees $50 per entrant. Early Bird $40 until October 5th, 2012. Registration Closes: October 6, 2012 7:59 AM Pacific Time Divisions Men & Women’s Open – Ages 25-49 Masters – Age 50+ Categories 5-MILE KAYAKS Fast Sea Kayak High Performance Kayak 3-MILE SUP Recreational Paddleboard Racing Paddleboard All kayakers must wear spray skirts. Storm date: October 7, 2012, same time Prizes and Awards Some of the most sought after paddling gear in the world will be given as prizes along with special recognition awards to the winner(s) of each category within each age division. With minimum of 50 entrants, $200 cash prizes will be awarded to Fastest Kayak and Fastest Paddleboard Overall.
