Brief Description

The Human Race is a community fundraising event that allows participants to raise money for their favorite nonprofit organization (agency, church, school PTA, etc.) On race day fundraisers gather at Grimsley High School to walk, run, or roll in support of their chosen nonprofit. You can participate in The Human Race as an individual fundraiser or work together as a team.

5K Charity Walk

The Human Race makes it easy to support nonprofits! Simply select a nonprofit, collect and deposit donations, and walk on Race Day. We provide everything you need to participate. Click here for a list of participating nonprofits. If your nonprofit is participating, you can contact them directly to receive materials. You can also contact The Volunteer Center to receive materials or if your nonprofit is not participating.

Online Fundraising

When you register online for the Human Race you will select a participating nonprofit to support. After you complete registration, your personal online fundraising page will be created. The link to your fundraising page will be emailed to you. You can then login and begin customizing your page. Donors will be able to donate online to your chosen nonprofit through your fundraising page. Click here for a list of participating nonprofits.

Walking Teams

Businesses or other groups may form Walking Teams to support nonprofits through The Human Race. Forming a Human Race Walking Team will provide your organization with an opportunity to give back to the community in an effective and visible manner. Competitive 5K Run

The Human Race includes a 5K competitive run that is managed by OFF `N RUNNING. Individuals cannot register for the competitive run through this event listing.   • Gates Open - 9:00 am
  • Competitive Runner Registration/Check-in and Family Fun - 9:00 am – 10:00 am
  • Opening Ceremony/Race Start - 10:00 am
  • Food and Entertainment - 10:30 am – 11:45 am
  • Awards Ceremony - 11:45 am
  • End of 2009 Human Race - 12:00 pm


    Enjoy live music, free food, and fun for the entire family at The Human Race. Leashed animals are welcome. Please make sure animals are accustomed to being in large crowds and around small children. Thanks for helping us keep The Human Race enjoyable for all creatures!
