West Acres Shopping Center
In its fifth year, the Fargo-Moorhead Breast Cancer Walk strives raise awareness and funds for those affected by breast cancer, whether as a survivor or supporter. Walkers have made this event a family tradition by attending in support of their loved ones and women everywhere.
(The Fargo-Moorhead Breast Cancer walk in the past four years has been held on Mother's Day, however, it was decided to move the walk to October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This event will still be the same great walk, if not better, with games, photos, support and fun!)
The walk will begin at West Acres Shopping Center, travel south to the Schlossman YMCA and return to West Acres. A shorter route option is also available. Walkers have the option to register as an individual or part of a team, and may purchase a sign in memory/honor of a loved one or with their team name.
Walk Fees:
$25.00 - Adults 13+ (8/1/12-10/3/12)
$5.00 - Youth 12 - 6 yrs*
* 5 & Under is free unless you wish to receive a t-shirt
$30.00 - Adults 13+ (10/6 -10/7/12) -- Day-before and day-of registration
$5.00 - Youth 12 - 6 yrs*
* 5 & Under is free unless you wish to receive a t-shirt
Past and Present LIVESTRONG at the YMCA participants will receive $5 off but must register through paper format.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES OCTOBER 3 AT 11:59 PM
(Those registering after Sept. 23 are not guaranteed a T-shirt and/or the correct size.)
IN PERSON REGISTRATION
You may register at either YMCA branch at anytime from August 1 - October 6.
You may also register the day before and the day of at the West Acres Mall during the times listed below.
Saturday, October 6
4:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Registration and Pre-Registered Walker Packet Pick Up at West Acres Shopping Center Food Court
Sunday, October 7
9:00 - 10:30 a.m. - Walk Registration & Packet Pick Up Opens at West Acres Food Court

Sunday, October 7, 2012:
9:00 a.m. - Walk Registration & Packet Pick Up Opens at West Acres Food Court
Join in on fun activities such as stroller decorating, photo booth, button and picture frame making, bean bag toss, kid's activities and more!
11:00 a.m. - Walk Begins at West Acres Mall (Also ends at the mall. Restrooms, water and a shuttle available the Schlossman YMCA)
12:00 p.m. - Participants' Picnic (stay tuned for more details)
