Brief Description

PAWS IN THE PARK is a pooch-packed Dog Walk to raise money for the Humane Educational Society’s Getting to Zero™ campaign to end euthanasia of treatable, adoptable and trainable shelter pets. Create a team of walkers or ask your friends, family and co-workers to sponsor your walk. You and your dog will enjoy trekking along a lazy 1 mile trail with lots of beautiful sights for the human eyes and alluring smells for the canine nose!

Directions

From I-75 take I-24 West, or from I-59 take I-24 East, then take exit 178 (U.S. 27 North). After crossing the Tennessee River, take the 5th exit, (U.S. 127, Signal Mountain). Proceed under the overpass, moving to the left turn lane after the second traffic light. The entrance to the campus is located on the left at the third traffic light, directly across from Harry's Citgo convenience store. Follow PAWS IN THE PARK signs toward river.

Additional Information

This year there will be more fun, food, activities and canine awesomeness than ever before! After the walk there will be live music, great local food, vendors, doggie demonstrations, the traditional Rescued Dog Reunion Group Photo, Adoptable Canines strutting thier stuff, super fun contests and lots of prizes. The walk is on the beautiful Baylor campus through the woods with a shortcut for the older tail-waggers. There will be plenty of water stations and the ground is flat and easy to walk on.
