2013 Spring House League Registration Overview. The Carnarvon Ball Club is dedicated to youth baseball and softball for all players within our catchment area. Registration fees fund our operations including uniforms and equipment, permits, field maintenance, umpires, player & coach development, insurance, etc. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers and we do not fund major park improvement projects out of registration fees.
Once again this season we are using this online registration system (active.com) for new and returning players. Returning parents can use the same login as last year (generally your email address and a password you chose last year), or registration can be done as a "guest" to active.com.

Payment options include personal cheque or credit card (fees are applicable to credit card registrations). Uniform deposits (softball only) are via separate personal cheque post-dated to 30 July 2013 (we will only cash a uniform deposit cheque after every effort has been made to retrieve our uniform). We cannot accept post-dated cheques for registration fees due to expenses incurred prior to the season. Returned cheques are subject to a $20 NSF fee.
In addition to registration fees, all parents are asked to purchase a $30 book of raffle tickets (1 book per player, Junior baseball exempt). Raffle tickets are distributed in May and are intended to be sold to friends and neighbours in support of CBC programs (you keep the proceeds). Raffle prizes are awarded at closing ceremonies in June.
ALL PARENTS WHO ARE NOT MANAGING OR COACHING A TEAM ARE EXPECTED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUCCESSFUL RUNNING OF THEIR CHILD'S TEAM BY SCOREKEEPING AND HELPING WITH FIELD PREPARATION BEFORE AND AFTER GAMES. Coaches will typically assign these duties on a game by game basis - please be prepared to do your part.
Spring house league online registration for all divisions will open on January 15th, 2013.
Registrations after March 15th, 2013 are subject to a $10 late registration fee and we cannot guarantee to place all late registrants.
Final registration deadline is midnight April 1st, 2013.
Family discount: families with multiple players are entitled to $10 off the registration fees of 2nd, 3rd, 4th players only.
Assessments for most divisions will occur in March. Teams will be chosen by approx. April 1st. Practices and games will beging in early April.
FOR ALL DIVISIONS: Players must be registered according to their age as/at December 31st, 2012. For younger kids, parents may request that their kids play up or down a division only after registering in the proper division by age. To request a move to another division please detail the circumstances to our registrar via email after registering online.
CBC is dedicated to baseball and softball for all, including economically disadvantaged kids. Parents that are unable to fund registration fees are encouraged to visit the KidSport BC website to learn about grants.
