We’re not just another 5K. Our run/walk seeks to raise money & awareness that while AIDS is a global health threat, it is also a major cause of death for Long Islanders. Cancer, breast cancer specifically, is also a major cause of death for Long Island women. See Additional Information below to see how we helped improve the lives of people living with HIV and cancer in 2012.
Race packet-pick up between 6:45AM – 8:00AM. Water and energy drinks will be provided at the start of the race, mid-point and race finish. A sumptuous brunch will be provided at the finish as well. After the 5K there will be prizes and gift certificates given away by a FREE lottery drawing. USATF 5K certified running course starts and finishes in parks and winds through residential streets of North Woodmere (no traffic lights). Great run for kids
