On Sunday (before the Vail Valor Races on Memorial Day) will be a new dog-friendly 2-mile race. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome as well as their canine companions. Come solo or with your furry friend and enjoy an undulating 2-mile course on roads and trail. The exact route will be determined the week before the race based on mountain conditions and weather forecasts. Expect some gentle grades and moderate hills. Come prepared for a variety of conditions. Course could be dry, muddy, or snowy--or a combination of all three!
Post-race "Yappy Hour" free to participants and includes pizza and a beverage ticket. Make a $15 donation to the Vail Veterans Program and get a commemorative stainless steel pint from Klean Kanteen.
Spectators and the general public are invited to attend the Vail Yappy Hour event for a $20 suggested donation (includes pizza, pint glass & one free beverage). Proceeds donated to the Vail Veterans Program which provides valuable recreational and therapeutic programs for America's injured military and their families.
