The purpose of the Avery Johnson Basketball Camp is to teach the fundamentals of basketball - dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense, and team play - while also stressing the importance of hard work, a positive attitude, and sportsmanship. We want our campers to have a GREAT time while also becoming better players and better people during their time with us. Campers will receive individual basketball instruction through a variety of drills and daily skills competitions. They will also play 5-on-5 games each day while being coached by our players and staff. Additionally, they will hear from a variety of speakers who will talk to them about what it takes to be successful at basketball as well as life. OVERNIGHT CAMPERS will sign in from 2:30-4:00 pm in Mark Burke Hall on Sunday, June 14. They will also move into their rooms at this time. On Wednesday, camp will end at 3:00 pm following a 2:30 pm awards ceremony. OVERNIGHT CAMPERS will receive all their meals while at camp (9 total).
