Visual Arts: From the homeland to the battlefront, art was used during WWII to promote duty and patriotism, capture historical moments and even as tactical strategy. You’ll be stepping into the boots of the wartime poster artists behind the iconic Uncle Sam “I Want YOU” and “Rosie the Riveter” designs, combat artists that recorded the war firsthand and abstract artists that developed eye-manipulating military camouflage. Comedy: Abbott & Costello reigned as the 1940’s "Kings Of Comedy," producing box office hits including "Buck Privates," "Hold That Ghost,” and their 1948 monster masterpiece "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein." Their patter routine "Who's on First?" is one of the best-known comedy routines of all time.
