Description

The race is held at Lake Tawakoni State Park located just 50 MILES EAST OF DALLAS, The Spring Fall Classic Triathlon has a challenging and fun race course. The open water swim courses (no loops) have a beach entrance and take place in beautiful Lake Tawakoni. The scenic 24.8 mile bike for both distances is an out and back course that is fast and flat with only two turns. The Sprint run course is also an out and back with a couple of rolling hills, and a fun 1/4 mile trail run to kick it off. The Olympic run course uses the same route and includes a partial loop.

TEAM CATEGORY (for Sprint Distance Only):

The Sprint Race features a FREE TEAM CATEGORY so your team or club can claim bragging rights and some great prizes. This is NOT a relay team. Participants now have the chance to join together and compete as a team. You will be timed in your own age group just like always and your time and your teammates' times will be combined for a total team time. The Group Teams must consist of at least 3 and at most 5 members. Each team's top 3 individual finishing times will count towards the team ranking.

CAMPING RESERVATIONS:

In addition to our race hotel for those outdoor enthusiasts, we are offering camping sites and RV Hook-Ups Saturday night to all of our RACE PARTICIPANTS for a $20 fee and FREE reservations for VOLUNTEERS. Lake Tawakoni is a beautiful and comfortable venue for camping. Camping on-site at the race venue is not only convenient; it will eliminate travel time giving you more time to sleep on race day. What's better than opening your tent flap or RV door and rolling into the transition area? Guests camping with racers will be charged a park entrance fee of $5 per person upon arrival.
