Welcome to the third annual Shenandoah Valley Sprint Tri for the Y. Building on the success of the first two races, this event strives to create a professional, competitive and community-oriented triathlon, all while raising money for the Waynesboro YMCA. Proceeds for this event will go directly to the YMCA as they continue to work tirelessly to build strong kids, strong families and a strong community.
The YMCA, the City of Waynesboro, and the local community are thrilled to continue to support this event for another year. The race will showcase the beauty of the picturesque Ridgeview Park, the surrounding green rolling hills, the South River and heart of downtown Waynesboro. This sprint triathlon allows athletes the chance to compete, soak in the surroundings and be a part of the community. It is designed for both serious triathletes who are looking to participate in an event dedicated to a worthy cause, as well as those individuals who are looking to take their first big step onto the triathlon scene.
