Brief Description

This Triathlon is a great experience of Lake Ontario and the quiet villages surrounding it. The water has a beautiful view of the Sodus Pt Lighthouse, while the run takes you through the farmland and the run has views of old colonial homes from yesteryear.

.45 mile swim/13.1 mile bike/5K run BIKE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!!

Directions

Take Route 104 to Route 14 North. Turn Right on Lake Road in Sodus Point and park in the ball field on the left.

Registration

In addition to online registration, you can register by mail (YellowJacket Racing, 2210 Monroe Ave, Roch 14618) or in person at Fleet Feet Sports (same address) anytime between now and August 14th at 5pm. Check out www.yellowjacketracing.com for more details and a printable entry form.

Packet Pickup/Last Minute Registration

Available Friday August 13th (10am-7pm) and Saturday August 14th (9am-5pm) at Fleet Feet Sports, 2210 Monroe Avenue, Rochester 14618. You can also pick up your packet on the morning of the event at the race site beginning at 7:00am.

USAT Rules

If you do not have a USAT number (membership), a one day $10 licensing fee will automatically be added to the Race Fee. This is required by USAT for insurance coverage. Also, you MUST show photo id and USAT card (if applicable) at packet pickup. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS - USAT rules!

Awards

Overall Male and Female, plus top 3 male and female in 5 year age groups.

Age Groups

Male & Female: 19 under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over.

Race Fee Includes

AMB chip timing, a fabulous post-race feast and a technical shirt.

Wetsuit Rental/Purchase

It is HIGHLY recommended that you use a wetsuit for this event. You can rent or purchase a wetsuit at Fleet Feet Sports, 2210 Monroe Ave, Rochester 14618. If you plan to rent a wetsuit, be sure to reserve your early, as sizes are on a first come first serve basis. If you plan to purchase a wetsuit, we will have a full stock of sizes beginning in late April.

Parking

Parking for the event is in the Ball Field on Lake Road. You will walk your bikes to the transition area, which is only about 300 meters away.

Additional Information

This race is AMB Timed. Limited to first 200 Entrants. There is no of DAY OF Registration Registration opens at 7AM. Applications/Maps on www.yellowjacketracing.com. Should the swim be cancelled, the race will become a duathlon. The decision will be made on race day by the Park Official. This race is a benefit for Sodus Point Neighborhood Association

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
