Brief Description

The Rock ‘n’ Heartland Youth Triathlon Series (RHYTS) has been created to provide a unique Rock n Roll themed, multi-venue series of youth triathlons within the heart of Florida. RHYTS will succeed in creating a memorable experience for today’s youth through a dynamic and fun triathlon experience.

Additional Information

The objective of the RHYTS is to build a series of youth triathlons, providing a venue to showcase Health and Wellness to today’s youth while generating awareness and raising funds for Julie’s Funds for Kids. Race Distances 5-6 Beginners 25 yd swim/ 1 mile bike/ ¼ mile run 5-8 Juniors 50 yd swim/ 2 mile bike/ ½ mile run 9-11 Intermediates 100 yd swim/ 4 mile bike/ 1 mile run 12-16 Seniors 200 yd swim/ 6 mile bike/ 1.5 mile run Awards Top 5 in each Age Group Finisher's Medal for all Participants Each paid participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt, event program and commemorative race bag loaded with child specific goodies from event and community sponsors. The RHYTS point’s structure will be established to reward not only participants that place the highest throughout the series, but also established to recognize athletes who grow and improve their ability through the series. The RHYTS is created for youth 16 years and younger with awards given out for each individual age group based on age as of December 31st.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
