Brief Description

UCSB's Triathlon Team presents its 7th annual UCSB Triathlon. This event is once again a SPRINT distance after the 2009 event was increased to an Olympic Distance. The race features an ocean swim going with the current; a fast & challenging bike course; and a rolling scenic run on ocean-front bluffs. Post-race refreshments/ceremony. Custom Collegiate and Age-group awards: three deep in each age group. USAT sanctioned. Police control, Limited Entries! Plus, Chip Timing!

Packet Pickup

NEW LOCATION Race Registration Packets should be picked up on Saturday at Campus Point any time between 10am and 5pm. Also, you will be able to purchase 1-day parking passes in advance for Sunday morning for $3.00. [Don't risk a $45 ticket].

March 19, 2010 [12:00 a.m.]: As of midnight when registration closed there were still 12 slots remaining. We will have limited Late Registration at Packet Pickup located at the race site at Campus Point on Saturday until these spots run out.

Alumni Division

New in 2010: A UCSB Triathlon Team Alumni Division will be offered. This division will feature its own awards, including new custom team apparel, and will be scored separate from the Age Group awards.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
