Completion, rather than competition, is the focus of the San Luis Obispo Triathlon. Each participant is encouraged to set and meet his or her own personal goal. This short course (or sprint) triathlon offers something for everyone; accommodating the novice participant while still challenging the experienced athlete.
The SLO Triathlon consists of a 1/2 mile pool swim, 15.3 mile bike ride on local roads (note: portions of the road will be open to local traffic), and a 3.1 mile run.
Start and finish will occur at Sinsheimer Park. Elapsed time only, no split times will be computed. Start times are staggered throughout the day as this is a swimming pool triathlon. Results will be posted at www.slotriathlon.org the following day.
Event schedule and times
The first group will start at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 22nd.
