Brief Description

Welcome to the best Triathlon in Northern California. This race will follow one of the most historic race courses in the country and is designed for and will cater to, the age group athlete. The swim is in Lake Almaden. The bike portion is through the rolling hills of Santa Clara County and Almaden Valley. The run is on a completely protected bike trail with multiple aid stations.

Additional Information

Typically this race will be in mild temperature conditions, and a very calm course from the water to the wind. We are expecting 1000 competitors to via for our USAT age group prizes, and series prizes, including our $2500 Tri Club competition as well as swim split, bike split, and run split with our sister race "The Reservoir Triathlon"

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
