Brief Description

Additional Information

The swim will be in Mayo Lake, a fingered lake north of Roxboro. The swim start is around .2 of a mile from the transition area. You will want to bring some shoes along to walk over to the swim start. The water is sheltered and smooth. The bike course will use all right hand turns and feature rolling hills in Person County. The pavement is mostly smooth and you will pass over the lake twice, for a scenic ride. The run course is a trail run in Mayo Lake Park. The trail will feature multiple footing to include gravel, single track and wide track. Water stations are provided at .1 and 1.5 mile mark on the run. The finish line is located at the base of the amphitheater. The race course revolves around a transition area next to the Mayo Park Amphitheater. The same transition area will be used for all phases. The transition area will open at 6am; ALL bikes need to be placed in position before the transition area closes at 7:45am.
