Brief Description

On Sunday, September 8, 2013 Hope For Crohn's® Blue Wave Triathlon /Duathlon & Kids' Aquathlon will hold its annual Tri-Valley fundraising event benefitting Crohn's disease. Net proceeds fund research grants & outreach & education programs.

This sprint distance triathlon/duathlon is popular and appeals to everyone. It can be completed by beginners, intermediate, or advanced. Good training to prepare for long distance races.

Du Duathlon

Are you a non-swimmer? Then this super sprint duathlon is just for you! Run 3.1 miles, Bike 11 miles, Run 3.1 miles. Shadow Cliffs scenery and breeze from the lake will thrill your senses as you go for it!

Registered Triathlete/Duathlete

Registered triathlete/ duathlete must be at least 18 years or older by the end of 2013 and agree to raise a minimum of $100 for the Hope for Crohn's® Blue Wave Triathlon/ Duathlon.

The net proceeds from the Hope For Crohn's® Blue Wave Triathlon/ Duathlon goes to fund Crohn's research grants to help researchers find a cure and to support education and outreach programs in our communities to raise awareness of Crohn's disease.

Registered Triathlete/Duathlete-continued

Please note that registration fees and all donations are non-refundable. All registered triathlete/ duathlete must have medical insurance at the time of the event in order to participate.

Registered Volunteer Crew Member

Registered Volunteer Crew Member is a full-day commitment. All volunteer crew members are required to attend the All Volunteer Crew Meeting on the Thursday before the event. Volunteer crew members must be at least 16 years old on the date the event commences and agree to attend the entire event in a service capacity. Volunteer crew members do not participate in the triathlon/duathlon event and do not have a fundraising commitment.

They are assigned specific roles based on the needs of the event. All volunteer crew members should have medical insurance at the time of the event in order to participate.

Kid's Splash & Dash

The Splash & Dash is a Swim - Run Aquathlon event. This is a challenging event with a 1/2 mile swim and 6.2 mile run. It is great for those training for a triathlon.

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
