Brief Description

Athletes will relish the calm protection of the swim course in Oceanside Harbor, the challenge of a one-loop bike course that includes the coastal beauty of San Clemente State Park, the challenging inland hills of Camp Pendleton, and a flat two loop run through the coastal neighborhoods of Oceanside. Rohto Ironman 70.3 California will serve as a qualifier for the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI on October 8, 2011 and the 2011 Ironman World Championship 70.3-date and location TBA

Refund/Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to California70.3@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before February 21, 2011 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted.

USAT

USA Triathlon will sanction Rohto Ironman 70.3 California. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site. USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule

All qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31st of the year of the event.

Ironman Foundation Slots

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will be sold at $600.00 USD. The entry fee includes athlete registration and a $300.00 USD tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. Donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities.

Sanctioning
