This is a unique opportunity to learn from "The Man", 6x Ironman World Champion, Dave Scott. This 90-minute workshop is for athletes looking to develop a training program for a half distance triathlon (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run).


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Dave will share his expertise and experience to help you prepare for and excel at your next half distance triathlon. You will learn:

  • How to determine the right training volume, training intensity and proper recovery
  • A breakdown of the training schedule and key workouts
  • Marker sets or test sets that precisely determine your potential and race capabilities
  • Training and racing nutrition
  • How to prevent injuries
  • How to maximize your mental game

REQUIREMENTS:

This workshop is designed for athletes that have experience racing at least tow half distance triathlons (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run).


ABOUT DAVE SCOTT:

Dave is arguably the most recognized name in the sport of triathlon and one of it's most accomplished athletes. Dave is a 6x winner of the Ironman World Championships and inductee to both the Ironman and USAT Hall of Fames. He is also the former coach of Ironman World Champion, Chrissie Wellington. Since retiring from competitive racing Dave devotes his time educating and inspiring athletes of all abilities and ages, leading sport camps, clinics and races across the US.


Event schedule and times

This 90-minute workshop will begin at 8:00am and take place in the Lou Gehrig Room within the Dodge Fitness Center at Columbia University.
