Description

The 2013 Whaling City Triathlon is a production of Sun Multisport Events the same team behind such New England favorites as the Patriot Half and Cranberry Trifest. The Whaling City Triathlon is a terrific race for beginner and seasoned triathletes alike. The triathlon features a 0.25 mile swim in Buzzards Bay, a 12-mile flat, fast and scenic bike course closed to traffic (2 loops of a 6-mile loop) and a 3.1 mile run that is all on sidewalks offering gorgeous water views and a fantastic finish in historic Fort Taber Park. With multiple opportunties to see athletes throughout the event, this is one of the most spectator-friendly triathlons in New England!

NEW for 2013: Splash 'n Dash

We've added a Splash 'n Dash division to the triathlon for adults who just want swim and run. Athlete's in the Splash 'n Dash will swim the same 0.25 mile course as athletes in the triathlon and then transition to the same 5k run course.
