Course Description

Meat Pie Tri begins with a very spectator friendly 1/2 mile swim in Cane River Lake. Then out of T1 up a short steep incline onto Front Street for a 20 mile out and back ride over some light rolling terrain. Rack your bike and head out of T2 up the steps of the Riverbank for a 5K under the beautiful canopy of oaks along the lake. See you at the Finish Line.

Race Entry Fee

Individual: $55 Early Bird thru April 1, $65 through July 31, $75 thru Sept 20. 2 Person Relay: $110 Early Bird thru April 1, $130 through July 31, $150 thru Sept 20. 3 Person Relay: $165 Early Bird thru April 1, $195 through July 31, $225 Sept 20. SORRY, NO REFUNDS! NO TRANSFERS!

Packet Pick Up

A photo ID (for everyone) and proof of USAT membership (for annual members) are REQUIRED in order to pick up your packet. YOU are the only person allowed to pick up your packet. Packets will not be mailed. Packets can be picked up on Saturday, Sept 26, 3:18-5:17pm and 7:02-7:34pm (the 7p pick up is for Pasta Party goers only) at the Nathitoches Events Center OR you can pick up on Race Day, Sept 27, 5:13-6:47am near transition.

Schedule of Events

Saturday: See Packet pick up info. 5:30 pm: PASTA PARTY with Peter Reid @ Natchitoches Events Center. Sunday: Packet pick up 5:13 - 6:47am. 7:00 am: First swimmer into the water (time trial start with approx 5 secs between athletes). 9:00 am ish: Post race party.

Age Groups

Male & Female in 5 year increments starting with ages 10-14 thru 80-84, 85+. Individuals, parents and/or guardians are responsible for participant's actions during event. It is suggested that Youth be comfortable & experienced swimming in open water and with the distance of each event before registering. If an individual younger than 10 is interested in participating, parents or legal guardians should consult with Race Organizers prior to registering. USAT determines age as of 12/31/09.

Awards

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male and Female: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place. Overall Masters (40+) Male and Female: 1st Place. Overall Grand Masters (50+) Male and Female: 1st Place. Age group awards will be 3 deep in all divisions (Male and Female). Relay team: 1st , 2nd & 3rd Place. Overall Male and Female: Novice Triathlete.

Bike course available at www.meatpietri.us and all maps will be posted at packet pick up.

USAT Sanctioned Event

All USAT rules will be enforced.

Cancellation Policy

Producers, sponsors and/or the venue have the right to cancel the race in the event of bad weather or any other event beyond our control. Should this event be cancelled, there is no make up date planned.

No Refunds

Event planning & spending occur long before race day. Therefore, this event imposes a NO REFUND policy. Should a conflict arise, your are welcome to pick up your race packet at packet pick up or on race day. No packets will be mailed.

No Transfers

In accordance with insurance policy, USAT stands strong with zero tolerance for a registered participant to allow another individual to race in his/her spot. Doing so can result in disqualification, possible legal action and permanent banning from future USAT and Run Wild Event Management events. There will also be NO TRANSFERS to future events or other participants.

Sanctioning
