Additional Information
The race starts with a 3.5 mile trail run that is completely closed to traffic, then it is off on an out and back 21 mile bike, and then you finish with a 2.7 mile trail run, again completely closed to traffic. Each leg of the race offers you spectacular and different views of the McDowell Mountains and surrounding area.
NEW IN 2011 - An Off Road Duathlon for the Mountain Bike crowd!!!! Same run courses, same transition, and a specially designed off road mountain bike course.
There is also a kid’s one mile Fun Run.
Rounding out the day is one of the best awards ceremonies and raffles on the Duathlon circuit. With a $4,000 purse for Elite field, $2,500 in prizes for age group field, ~$2,000 in raffle prizes.
