Brief Description

The 2013 O.C. Duathlon is the quaifier for the ITU Duathlon World Championship to be held in August in Ottawa, Canada. Qualification: The top six finishers in each age group (rolling to 20th place) will qualify for Team USA in their choice of race distance — standard or sprint. Six athletes per age group will be accepted for the standard-distance event and six athletes per age group will be accepted for the sprint-distance event.. That's 12 per agegroup going to the Worlds!!!

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
