Brief Description

Be a part of the Inaugural Healthy Holmes Tri - Man vs. Nature. Experience all the challenges nature has ordained in Amish Country. Begin with a lake swim in the gated-community of Lake Buckhorn. Defy the natural glacial elevation on the bike ride through the Becks Mill Valley ascending to Sand Run Ridge that will challenge even the seasoned triathlete. Then finish with a run on the Holmes County Trail through the wooded marshland of the Killbuck Valley.

Route Details

1/2 mi. swim in Lake Buckhorn, gated community, man-made lake,swim course rectangular shaped. 12.54 mile bike route beginning at SR 83 intersection out of Lake Buckhorn,CR 19,CR 58, SR 83 edge of Millersburg to Wal Mart access for Rails to Trails route(paved), to Rails to Trails Depot. 5K out and back run from Rails to Trails Depot, paved trail.

Transportation Details

Event begins and ends in different locations. Triathlon & registration will begin at Lake Buckhorn with the transition area from swimming to biking being located there. Bikes will need to be picked up by participant at Rails to Trails Depot transition area. Which will be the end of bike route and beginning of 5K out and back run and the end of the triathlon.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
