Brief Description

SWIM MIAMI IS BACK!
Enjoy the beautiful downtown skyline as you compete in Swim Miami 2011. Olympic Gold Medalists, to be named closer to race day, will be in attendance. This will be a who's who of open water swimming. Don't miss your chance to swim stroke for stroke with the world's best in The Miami Mile, The 5K swim, and The 10K swim. Also, bring your dog along for the K-9 Krawl World Championships.

If you are a non-USA Swimming or a non-US Master’s Swimming member, an additional $20.00 meet registration applies.

Awards

Every single swimmer will receive a participation pack at Check-In. Top 3 male and Top 3 Female will receive awards for Overall placement. Overall Jr Olympic Team Champion will also be awarded.

Elligibility

Anyone is entitled to swim any of the events. If you are 18 and under and wish to participate in the Jr. Olympics, you must attain year round membership with a FGC club team.

Swim Miami Presented by Nike Swim is an open water competition for all ages and abilities. USA Swimming rules apply. Note: Swim Miami Presented by Nike Swim has been named the official site of the Florida Gold Coast Open Water Jr. Olympics. Please refer to the official event meet book at www.SwimMiami.net for all details.

Age Groups

10 & Under; 11 - 12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18; 18-24 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 and Over.

Registration

There will not be race day registration available. April 8 will be the last available time to register in person during official check in times between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM on site at the Miami Yacht Club.
All racers must check in on Friday, April 8. On Saturday, April 9: Races begin at 7:30 AM. You can receive your chip timing transponder as of 6:30 AM on Saturday morning (April 9).

Additional Information

**There will be a time limit on the 10 K swim, everyone must complete the race or is subject to disqualification after 4 hrs. Registration includes an official swim cap, T-shirt, and participant pack with a lot of goodies. All proceeds benefit the H2Os Foundation in an effort to Help Others Swim.
