NOW, FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO DO YOUR SWIM PRACTICE, LAP TIMING, AND WORKOUTS PRIOR TO THE RACE, PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The Litchfield Rec Center Pool will not open for the season until April 1st. A monthly swimming membership in season at the Rec Center costs $30-$34, but since the Rec Center pool is not open, they have cut a deal with the Southwest Valley YMCA, on the northeast corner of Thomas Rd and Litchfield Rd---a short distance away---if you go to the Rec Center and ask for a monthly swimming pass at the Southwest Valley YMCA, the Rec Center wil give you a card to take to the Y which will allow you to buy a monthly swimming pass there for $30 ($34 if you are not a resident of Litchfield Park), for their Olympic size pool. Or, you can simply go the the Y there and ask for the same deal. Sweet Deal !!! Lifetime Fitness in Goodyear may also have a pass available---please email me or call me for details.
