Brief Description

The two loop swim takes place in the calm and pristine Mirror Lake right in the heart of Lake Placid. The two loop bike course takes place on impeccably smooth roads with a combination of rolling hills and some "small chain ring climbs". This spectator friendly two loop run course passes by the downtown area four times! This incredible route features some spectacular tree-lined river scenery, coupled with lake side running.

Refund/Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Lakeplacid@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before June 1, 2010 to be eligible for a partial refund of $150.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted. *Withdrawal policy also applies to the Ironman Community Foundation Slots*

Ironman Foundation Slots

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $1,100.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $550.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in Lake Placid. Deferments or transfers are NOT permitted.

USAT

USA Triathlon will sanction Ford Ironman Lake Placid. To complete the registration process, athletes will need photo identification and must show proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD) during online registration. Ford Ironman Lake Placid will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2010 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI. *** Entrants must be at least 18 years old on race day ***

Sanctioning
