Brief Description

The Lake Havasu Triathlon is the first major triathlon of the 2012 season. The weather will be balmy and the course will be challenging - expect an epic time at Lake Havasu, the Spring Break capitol of the USA. Age groupers can race in the Havasu Triathlon, the perfect first of the season race. College students can race in the Mountain States Triathlon Conference Championships, perfectly situated 1 month before Collegiate Nationals and the biggest collegiate triathlon outside of Nationals.

Additional Information

Spring Break in Havasu is an exciting and happening place. Perfect weather (warm days and cool evenings) along with Lake Havasu's proximity to Las Vegas (just 2.5 hours away), Phoenix and Los Angeles makes the Lake Havasu Triathlon the perfect triathlon getaway.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
