The CajunMan Triathlon begins at Airport Lake with a 1/2 mile swim. You will swim clockwise in a triangular fashion and end up at the same location that you started (on the barge).
Competitors then race down scenic Bayou Tortue Road for a 20 mile bike. The bike course consists of a mostly flat route with some rolling hills and challenging turns.
Leaving the bike/run transition, competitors will complete the triathlon with a flat 3.1 mile run on the Lafayette Regional Airport grounds with the finish line inside the Marine Survival Training Center.
We have also increased the time between wave starts. This should allow for a much safer and less congested swim.
Men and Women: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 & 70+.
Awards will be presented to the Overall Male/Female - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Overall Masters (40+) Male/Female - 1st Place. Overall Grand Masters (50+) Male/Female - 1st Place. Age Group Awards will be 3 deep in all divisions (Male/Female). Relay Teams - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.
Every applicant must be a USAT member. If you are not a member, then add $10 to Entry Fee for the 1-day license. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
