Playtri Triathlon Festival

These events are part of a weekend long festival of swimming, biking and running. For more details, go to www.playtri.com under Races.

International Distance

1500 meter swim - 24 mile bike - 10k run

Sprint Triathlon

500 meter swim - 12 mile bike - 5k run

My First Tri

300 meter swim - 12 mile bike - 2 mile run

Registration Categories for Sprint / International

You will have to choose a category to race. There are 5 options. 1 - Open Wave - Elite wave/top age group competitors (overall awards only); 2 - Age Group - General sign up; 3 - Athena/Clydesdale - Weight Class Categories women can race if they are150lbs+ and men can race if they are 200lbs+ (elgibily for Athena/Clydesdale awards only)

USAT Membership

This is a sanctioned event. You will be required to present your driver's license AND your USAT membership card or purchase a one-day license ($12.00). You are the only person who can receive your packet. If you do not have a current USAT membership but would like to purchase one, please go to www.usatriathlon.org and apply for membership. If you forget your membership card you will have to pay the one-day fee of $12.00 - no exceptions.

Timing

This will be a Chip timed event. Timing services provided by Run-Far.

Awards/Amenities

International / Sprint Tri Open Wave: - Top 3 Overall Male and Female International / Sprint Tri All Other: - Overall Masters and Grand Masters Male and Female. - Age Group / Weight Class awards will be 3 deep for both Male and Female. - Relay Team awards will be for top 3 in each race. My First Triathlon: - Finisher’s Medal. **All racers will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag when they pick up their packet. Only those registered by May 1st are guaranteed a t-shirt.

Race Day Packet Pick Up

Race Day packet pick up is available for an additional $20. If you choose this option, you must pick up your packet no later than 6:00am at the race site

A portion of our proceeds will be donated to the Keep Irving Beautiful Fund.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
