The Gorge Kids Tri is a fun and safe entry level triathlon for elementary aged kids. All proceeds go to support PE and fitness programs. Three start waves will accommodate kids k-1, 2-3, and 4-5. Open water swim inside the swim park, paved bike path and run all within the Port area and closed to traffic.
Grade K-1: swim: .025, bike: 0.5, run: 0.25 // Grade 2-3: swim: .025, bike: 0.8, run: 0.32 // Grade 4-5: swim: .05, bike: 1.6, run: .53 // All distances are approximate and may vary slightly on race day.
Please have all children ready for the opening ceremony and pre-race instructions at 10 am down by the water start. Individual waves will start from there.
After all children have completed the event, we will hold a closing ceremony to honor the children's success. At this time we will pass out t-shirts and swag bags. Please stay around to cheer on all the kids. T-shirts and swag will not be given out early or after race day.
Registration opens at 9 am. The road in front of the Park will be closed for the course, so please watch for signs directing you to designated parking areas. Stick around for the closing ceremony when all participants will receive a t-shirt and swag bag. Also, enjoy food from local lunch, juice and coffee vendors!
