Summary
The word is out: The River Rampage has the fastest triathlon mile swim anywhere and feedback from last year's race was tremendous! Last year's river flow? 6MPH! For 2012 we're offering a sprint distance bike and run in addition to the Olympic distance bike/run. The River Rampage Triathlon is closer than Burley, ID, within minutes of Moab and Arches National Park, plentiful lodging and camping, a great local vibe and who can resist the chance to win a famous Green River Melon! Come and enjoy an amazing bike ride along the river at the base of the Book Cliffs Mountains. The amazing Green River State Park is the site for both the transition area and finish line, so no two transition area hassle!
Distances
Sprint: 1 mile downriver swim, 12.5 mile bike, 3 mile run
Olympic: 1 mile downriver swim, 25 mile bike, 6 mile run
Course Description
The swim is 1 mile downriver, ending at the Green River State Park boat ramp. The State Park is also the location for the transition area and the finish line! No two transition area hassle!
The bike course is a combination out-and-back/loop ride beneath the Book Cliffs and alongside the Green River.
The run will take you back to your high school cross-country days as you complete the 3 mile run course (Olympic: 2 loops) on the Green River State Park golf course grass and paved trails where you will enjoy shade trees, water features, and a soft running surface! It is a near perfect course for specators to see you complete the event.
Electronic Timing
Chip timing with 5 splits (swim, T1, bike, T2, run) and finish time will be provided.
