Brief Description

Race along the Lakes in beautiful, rural Southeast Massachusetts in this long distance triathlon (1.2 mile swim/58 mile bike/13.1 mile run) or the Minuteman Sprint organized by the same folks who bring you Cranberry Trifest and the Multisport World Conference and Expo. Entry fee for the Patriot 1/2 includes pass to post race catered meal, cool swag and a chance to win valuable giveaways.

USAT Fees

Current USAT license required to register You must enter a current USAT Annual license number and expiration date or purchase a one day license ($10.00) to register. Photo ID and USAT Membership card (if used to enter) required at packet pick up.

Refund Policy

No refunds given for any reason including cancellation of the event due to weather. Deferrals may be given due to illness or injury. Physician's note may be required.

The Patriot and Minuteman Swim

Patriot: A rectangular course in Long Pond. Water temps expected to be 75-80 degrees. Expect wet suits allowed. 1.2 miles. Minuteman: A 0.25 mile swim in Long Pond. Minuteman racers will be sent in the first waves, followed by Patriot racers.

The Patriot Bike

Patriot: Two loops of a 29 mile course with rolling hills that occasionally force you to get up out of the saddle. The bike course winds past some beautiful lakes and along quiet rural roads. Each loop will offer two water bottle exchanges and one port-o-pottie.

The Minuteman Bike

The Patriot Run

Patriot: A single loop down country roads and along cranberry bogs, horse farms and lakes. Aid stations every mile. Two port-o-potties will be positioned along the course.

The Minuteman Run

The Minuteman run course is 4 miles through suburban neighborhoods and rural country roads. The last 0.25 mile is on the grounds of Cathedral Camp where you'll do a quick pass of Long Pond, dash over a foot bridge and then sprint the last 300 yards to the finish. A USAT Sanctioned Event

This event has been carefully reviewed by the experienced staff at USA Triathlon. The course is well-planned and documented local permits have been obtained. Proper insurance coverage, including general liability and athlete excess medical, is in place. All participants will be either annual members of USAT or one-day license holders. The results will be scored in the annual national rankings. Race Director USAT Certified

Aquabike Category (Patriot only)

Aquabike was formally introduced by USA Triathlon five years ago and consists of the first two legs of the half-iron: a 1.2-mile swim and 56-mile bike. Participants receive three official split times (swim, T1, and bike) and start with their age group wave in the half-iron. Awards, and finisher medals will be provided this year.

For spectators

Cathedral Camp is the base of the Patriot Half and Minuteman Sprint. For spectators, Cathedral Camp offers great views of the swim, transition and the finish. For kids on hand to root for mom or dad, they can go in for a dip at Long Pond (where the swim is for the race), search for frogs in the pond, play on the swngs and monkey bars of playground, or have a catch or just play on the open grounds available at the Camp.

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
