Brief Description

This long distance triathlon consists of a 1.5K "out & back" open water swim, 10K cross-country run & a hilly 40K "out & back" bike ride. Course maps and relay registration are available at the Farmington CVB office.

Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. on March 14, 2011.

Farmington Lake Location

Directions: Farmington Lake is west of Aztec New Mexico and East of Farmington off East Main Street US 550/NM 516. Access is north off County Road 3535 and then west (left) off County Road 3544.

Team Registration

There will be no online registration for teams. Registration forms will be available in late April. To register a team please contact Ingrid Gilbert at the Farmington Convention & Visitors Bureau for a registration form, (800) 448-1240 or fmncvb@earthlink.net.

Refund Policy

Substitutions are not allowed. Requests for refund or raincheck must be made in writting and recieved by Race Admin before the race is full or 4:00 p.m. on June 10, 2011. Requests will be considered on a case by case basis. Submit requests to Ingrid at fmncvb@earthlink.net. Reimbursements will be issued after July 5, 2011. Refunds can not be considered once registration closes, 4 p.m. June 27, 2011 or race reaches capacity.

Friday, July 1: 12noon to 6 p.m.- Packet pickup at Gateway Park Museum & Visitors Center, 3041 E. Main St., Farmington. Saturday, July 2 (Race Day): 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. - Late packet pickup and body marking at Lions Wilderness Park, 5800 College Blvd. 5:45am - 6:30 a.m. - Check bikes at transition area, Lions Wilderness Park 5800 College Blvd.(T-2 & finish area). 6:00 - 7:00 a.m. - Body marking and time chip assignement at Farmington Lake. 6:45 a.m. Mandatory course briefing, Farmington Lake. 7:15 a.m. SHARP - Start en masse at Farmington Lake.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
