Description

The New England Trifest is brought to you by Sun Multisport Events, the premier multisport event production company in New England and the race management team behind such favorites as the Patriot Half and Cranberry Trifest. The New England Trifest is based at Camp Horizons on Lake Fairlee in Fairlee, VT and will feature Half (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run) and Olympic (0.9 mile swim, 28 mile bike, 6.2 mile run) distrance triathlons on Sunday, June 30, 2013. A kids duathlon on Saturday, June 29, 2013 (during packet pick-up hours for the Half and Oly) completes the "Trifest".

Kids Duathlon

The Kids Duathlon is a 0.4 mile run-0.4 mile bike- 0.40 mile run event and is appropriate for kids age 7-14. ALL KIDS MUST WEAR A HELMET WHEN ON THEIR BIKE AND BIKES WITH TIRES THAT CAN HANDLE RIDING OVER GRASS, GRAVEL, TREE ROOTS AND ROCKS ARE REQUIRED. The bike course is all off road. This is intended to be a fun event. All participants will receive an overall time, but age group awards will not be distributed. Proceeds from the Kids Duathlon will be donated to the Aloha Foundation.

Weather Policy

Race management reserves the right to alter or cancel all or part of the race due to inclement weather, acts of God or other unforseen circumstances that threaten the safety of participants or are out of our control. In the event of cancellation a partial credit towards the 2014 New England Trifest would be offered.

* 2:00pm-5:00pm: Race packet pick-up at Camp Horizons for the Half, Olympic and Kids Du

* 4:00pm: Kids Du race start


Sunday, 6/30/13:

* 5:00am: Transition opens

* 5:00am-6:30am: Half and oly packet pick-up

* 7:00am: Race start (Half swim waves will go first, followed by Olympic swim waves)



Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
