Encinitas Sports Festival

The AVIA Encinitas Sprint Triathlon is the leading event in the 2010 Encinitas Sports Festival. This year’s festival will include a bike tour, 5k, paddle, and open water swim races. To see the full list of events details visit us at EncinitasRace.com.

Participant Benefits & Awards

T-shirt, bib number, bike number, event goody bag and finishers' award. Overall awards to the top 3 elite finishers in Sprint race only. Awards go to the top 3 finishers M&W in Sprint and Super Sprint in each these age groups: U-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75+. Duathlon awards go to top three in U-15, U-25 up to 75+. Relay awards go to top 3 relay teams; All Men, All Women & Mixed.

On-Line & Mail-In Registration

On-line Triathlon Registration closes at 11:59PM Tuesday 5/11/2010. All mail-in entries must be received by Friday 5/7/2010. After these dates, registration is ONLY on Saturday May 15, 2010 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Moonlight Beach and is subject to a $20.00 late registration charge, if spots are available.

Packet Pick-up & Late Registration

Saturday, May 15: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

All pre-registered participants must attend the expo to pick up race materials, unless the VIP Sunday Pick-Up option is purchased.

Packet Pick-up and Late Registration will be held at the Encinitas Sports Festival Expo in the Moonlight Beach parking lot. Late registration may be available, on site, but is subject to a $20.00 late charge.

VIP Packet Pick-Up

For a $30 fee, we will assemble your race packet and hold it for your pick-up at the VIP table as late as 6:30am on Sunday race morning. Additionally, you will have a reserved bike rack and some surprise goodies waiting for you in the transition area.

Refund and Transfer Policy

Requests for Refunds and Transfer (to 2011 event) received by April 16, 2010 will be honored but subject to a $10.00 administrative fee. From April 17 to Friday, May 7, 2010 there is a $25.00 fee. After May 7, there are no transfers or refunds.

City of Encinitas 5K

The 19th Annual City of Encinitas 5K will be held Saturday May 15, starting at 7:30am, with the start and finish line at Moonlight Beach Parking Lot, site of the Encinitas Sports Expo. For further information, call 760/633-2740.

Additional Information

The Encinitas Sprint Triathlons are a Sprint (750m/20K/5K) & Super Sprint (375m/10K/2.5K) Triathlon and a Super Sprint Duathlon (w/beach-run). The packet pick-up, TA, finish and awards area are surrounded by a two-day Sports Expo and post-race festival with food & music. The event is open to 1500.
