Race Info

The 2nd Annual LG Tri in the beautiful Vail Valley mountain town of Eagle, Colorado will be held on Saturday, July 10th, 2010. Arrive at 6:00 a.m. Race begins at 7:00 a.m. Join us for awards and after party at the completion of the race.

Beneficiary

This event is held in memory of our friend, Laura Genelin, who passed away in July of 2008 from colon cancer. Laura loved participating in triathlons. To keep her passion alive, we chose to hold one annually in her hometown of Eagle, Colorado. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, helping locals like Laura in medical crisis since 1996. (www.vvcf.org)

Course Description

The LG Sprint Tri is a 500-meter swim (10 laps) in the Eagle Pool followed by a 12-mile bike loop from the pool, down the scenic Brush Creek Road, to Adams Rib. The third leg features a run from the pool down the bike path to Eagle Ranch Road, connecting to the Eagle Ranch bike path and back to the pool for the finish. This is a great course for first-timers and old pros alike.

Directions to Eagle Pool

Take I-70 to Eagle exit. Turn south to roundabout. Turn right at roundabout onto Hwy 6. Take immediate left on Capital Street. Take a left on Brush Creek Road at 3-way stop. Follow to end of road.

Deadlines

Entries must be received before July 9th, 2010. Entries must be received by June 30th to gaurantee requested shirt size.
