2010 RACE CHANGES
No same day registrations. Online registration at active.com closes on Tuesday 6/1 at 10:00pm. Registration has always FILLED UP EARLY so please sign up early if you want to race.
The race is now effectively two races, 8:00am and 10:30am (based on volunteer readiness, race course conditions and the weather) The 8:00am race will start with waves of 13,14,15 yr olds and then immediately follow with waves of 10,11,12 yr olds. There will not be a break so BE PREPARED TO RACE. At approximately 10:30am we will have the second race with the 7,8,9 yr olds.
We NOW have packet pick up on Thur 6/3, Fri 6/4 and Sat 6/5 at Cycle Sports. This will let you get your race numbers, t-shirt, and other cool stuff.
Every year we find ourselves working on so many bikes the morning of the race to make them safe. We want you safe not just on race day but during your training and riding as well. Please bring in your bicycle to Cycle Sports for a FREE race inspection and race sticker to make sure it can pass a basic bicycle safety inspection.
All timing this year will be done by a more sophisticated computer chip timer and will include splits!
A School Spirit Challenge trophy will again be awarded to the school with the most points in each age group. Points can be accumulated from a combination of number of school participants, results and a school size equalizer. So, recruit some friends, make some funky team shirts and see if you can earn bragging rights for 2010!
