Brief Description

This is our 3rd annual race, and is a great opportunity to try out Triathlon. For Adults this Super Sprint event will consist of a 250 yard pool swim (1 swimmer starts every 30 sec); approx. 9 mile bike through Dawson and Lumpkincounty that has some climbing, and a 2.25 mile run in the park.

Late Registration & Day of Registration

Late registration is considered any registration after Sep. 2nd. We will have extras, but T-shirts will not be guaranteed on race day for anyone registering after Sep. 2nd. Day of registration starts at 7:00 am.

T-shirts

All participants registered by Sept. 2 are guaranteed a great race shirt in their size. Women can also order a Women's Cut. Anyone registering on race day will receive a unisex shirt while supplies last.

Event Cap

The adult race is capped at 180 participants...register early, we're expected to sell out fast. If you bring the kids to race too, register for an earlier wave so you're guaranteed to be finished before they start.

Event Schedule

7:00 am...Transition Opens & race day check in; 8:00 am...Wave #1 Adult swim starts; 10:30 am...12 & 13 year old swim start; 10:45 am...10 & 11 year old swim start; 11:15 am...8 & 9 year old swim start; 11:45 am...6 & 7 year old swim start; 12:15 pm...5 & under swim start

Kids Race

After all the adults have finished their race the kids will start their event. The adults do they're bike on the road, but the Kids Race will be completely on the park grounds. Visit the Fivestarntp.com page for complete information on either race.

Course

The swim will be done in the Veterans Memorial Pool; The bike leg will be done on the roads through Dawson County; and the run will be done on the park grounds using a combination of the paved walking trail and the track.

Estimated Swim Time

Athletes will be placed for the swim start based on their estimated swim time. This will allow the faster swimmers to go first, and keep them from catching the slower swimmers. Please do your best to have an accurate time.

Five Star Turkey Trot Qualifier

All participants registered for the race will qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving Day. See race website for details.

Additional Information

All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a race t-shirt and some goodies. All race finishers receive a finishers award, as well as adult male and female overall and all the regular 5 year age groups. Great festive atmosphere for the entire family. Kids receive male and female top 3 awards in the age group in which they raced.
