Brief Description

Sign up now for the 3rd Annual Toughman Triathlon which takes place in beautiful Croton Point Park, Westchester county NY.

Insurance

You must be a member of USA Triathlon to compete in the race, including each relay member. If you do not have an annual membership, you must purchase a one-day membership for $10 during the registration process.

Rules

The race is a USAT sanctioned race so USAT rules are in effect. You must wear an ANSI-approved helmet during the entire cycling event. Headphones for music are prohibited during the race.

Age Requirements

You must be 15 years old or older to participate in the Toughman race.

Cut Off Times

You must be able to complete the events within the following cut off times to avoid being pulled from the course for safety reasons:
Swim: 1 hour and 10 minutes
Swim/Bike: 5 hours
Swim/Bike/Run: 8 hours

Packet Pick-Up

Packet Pick-up will take place on Wed 9/8 10am-7pm at Paragon Sports, NYC, Sat 9/11 from 12:00-5:30pm and Sun 9/12 5:15-6:30am at the race site. You must bring photo proof of identityand your USAT card if you have one. YOU CANNOT SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO PICK UP FOR YOU! There are no entry transfers or substitutions. Participants who swap or sell their race number will not be allowed to race, lose all entry fees and will be subject to disciplinary action by USAT.

Bike Check

You may check your bike into transition on Saturday 9/11 from 12 - 6pm. It is NOT mandatory, but it does make it easier on you race morning.

Chip Distribution

Chips will be distributed ON RACE MORNING. You must use our chips and straps during the race.

~ Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female for each 5 yr age group
~ Top 3 Clydesdales (Men 200+ lbs)
~ Top 3 Athenas (Women 150+ lbs)
~Top 3 First Responders
~Top 3 Tri Clubs
~Top 3 CEO/Corp President
~ Top 3 Relay Teams
~ Top Corporate Challenge Team

Paratriathlete Category

We are pleased to offer a new Paratriathlete category for physically challenged athletes. Registration open to USAT classifications Tri 2 -Tri 6. Wheelchairs are not permitted on the run course. Handlers may enter all athlete restricted zones with a wristband.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds.
Injured athletes that volunteer either pre-race or race day for a total of 5 hours, can earn a full deferral for next year.

Online Reg Closes

When race sells out, or no later than September 2nd.

Additional Information

The course consists of:
SWIM: 1.2 mile swim in a protected area of the Hudson river
BIKE: 56 mile rolling bike course throughout scenic upper Westchester
RUN: 13.1 mile run with some challenging hills in and around the Croton Dam

The entire race takes place in Westchester county, NY.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
